Description

I believe this would be the correct category...
Anyway, natural ( and insufficient) light from a window. I liked the lines but, boy, the low light ( the picture was very dark) made my skin look terrible. And me, I like a good challange so I sat down, fiddled with adjustment layers and this is the result.
Like always, critique and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I especially need to know if the image is too light or too dar...I can't trust my monitor... it plays tricks on me.
This said, do enjoy :)

Edit: I changed the image a bit according to :devvarl:'s critique on the lack of black and white range.

First of all: this is a wonderful (self)portrait. emotive and tender. And I simply LOVE that kind of partial lighting!!
I think the result's great on monitors. black is black and the lights have still texture - there's nothing overexposured. The black seems definitely too strong for bubblejets, the transition between b&w could break out. I'm not sure what happens on a photo print though.

I did some similar shots but with artificial light. With the right white balance (and photoshop of course) it's no problem to let them look like natural light, I think.
I also learned that you need far more light than it appears on the image.. :)
